Enhancing EMR Usability for Mental Health Professionals
Inner Compass Well-being seeks to improve the usability and functionality of its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system specifically tailored for paramedical professionals in the mental health sector. The current system lacks certain features that could enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mental health practitioners. The goal of this project is to analyze the existing EMR system, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements that align with the specific needs of mental health professionals. This project will provide learners with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of health informatics and user experience design to a real-world problem, fostering a deeper understanding of how technology can support mental health care. Key tasks include conducting user interviews, performing a usability analysis, and developing a set of recommendations for system improvements.

Strengthening Privacy & Data Security Compliance for a Mental Health App and EMR System
The primary objective of this project is to strengthen the privacy, security, and compliance framework of the OMALIFE digital ecosystem — which includes our mobile wellness app and therapist practice management software — to align with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act) standards. The project’s goal is to conduct a comprehensive cybersecurity and data-protection assessment with clear security measures of OMALIFE’s current technology infrastructure (built using FlutterFlow, React, Supabase, and AWS) and to identify, design, and prototype technical safeguards that protect sensitive health and personal information.

Digital Marketing Strategy Enhancement for EMR Systems
Inner Compass Well-being seeks to refine its digital marketing strategy for its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system tailored for paramedical professionals. The project aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current digital marketing efforts, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. The team will conduct an external analysis, examining customer needs, competitor strategies, market trends, and environmental factors that influence the EMR market. The goal is to align the marketing strategy with the organization's budget, goals, and target audience. By leveraging classroom knowledge in marketing analysis and strategy development, learners will provide actionable insights to enhance the company's digital presence and effectiveness in reaching paramedical professionals.

OMA Life App EMR Prototype Development
The project involves developing a functional prototype for the OMA Life app's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, specifically designed for paramedical professionals. The primary goal is to enhance the user experience for therapists and streamline their workflows within the mental health platform. This project will focus on creating a seamless connection between the therapists' EMR and the users' app, ensuring efficient onboarding and management of therapists. Additionally, the project will lay the groundwork for future features, such as subscription management and the ability to assign content to clients. By applying classroom knowledge in software development and user experience design, students will contribute to a critical component of Inner Compass Well-being's mental health platform. - Develop a functional EMR prototype for paramedical professionals. - Enhance user experience and streamline therapist workflows. - Establish a connection between the therapists' EMR and users' app. - Prepare for future subscription management and content assignment features.
