Virtual Internship Opportunity: Marketing Rebrand and Expansion

Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for (1 | 2 | 3) marketing students or teams. Background Calgary Photos has been providing real estate photography, videography and measurement services to real estate agents in Calgary and surrounding areas since 2009. Our current branding and website has not been updated since 2012 and is ready for a refresh. We are also in the midst of organizing our processes and procedures so that we can package our business to be replicated in new centres either through expansion or franchising. The primary focus for the student will be: Branding - Conduct a full competitive landscape assessment; define our organization's brand and core value proposition; identify opportunities and threats facing our brand; assess where and how to improve our brand's presence and differentiate from our competitors. Marketing Communications - Recommend changes to advertising and PR materials; create an integrated marketing campaign; create a rebranding campaign. Market Research - Investigate our competitive landscape; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target market for (new or existing product or service); conduct customer surveys or focus groups to gain insights into the perceptions and behaviours of our target customers; develop a pricing strategy; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging for (new product or service). Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s); develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Branding and Marketing Communications - For the student(s) to help us create a new brand comprehensive. Market Research - For the student(s) to help us gain a better understanding of our potential markets and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - For the student(s) to help us generate more traffic and revenue through search engines. Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the student(s) to help us improve our online presence, reach more customers, and effectively promote our brand through compelling content. Other duties the student may complete could include : Assist with outbound email marketing campaigns as needed; measure and report on performance of these campaigns using tools such as (indicate tools used, eg. Internship: Create an Online Photography Course

Background Calgary Photos has been providing real estate photography, videography and measurement services to real estate agents in Calgary and surrounding areas since 2009. We have been using Google Classroom and videos to provide training to our staff throughout the years and since the start of the pandemic, we have shifted to see the potential in selling our lessons online to the general public. The primary focus for the student will be: Content Writing - Many of our existing lessons were created for internal staff so the content is not scripted or edited. A content writer will be required to repurpose our existing lessons and to rewrite the content so it is clearer and easier to understand for the general public. Content Creation - Using some of our short videos and tips and tricks videos - we would like to create a YouTube channel to help drive traffic to our online course. Social Media - In addition to Youtube content - we will require social media content to help drive traffic to our courses. We would also require social media strategies - both organic and paid. Website Development / Design - The course will be hosted using the Teachable platform. However a front facing Website that has effective SEO and a simple to navigate interface will also become important. A team will be required to help design and create this website. Video and sound editing - Students will need to take raw video footage and edit to a final product. Students will need to add transitions, text, graphics and motion graphics. Students will also need to edit audio and add sound effects and back ground music as needed. After Effects, Premiere Pro and Audition skills are required. Our goal is have a complete online course ready along with marketing materials by the end of internship period including: Final course videos complete. (All content has been written, 50% of content has been captured, and 10% has been completely edited) 20 YouTube ready videos ready for release. Social Media schedule and content prepared for next 6 months. Social Media paid advertising strategies in place. Calgary Photos - Home Owner's Manual App

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: We are creating a new app that helps new home owners manage the maintenance and budgeting their home. The app is intended to help new home builders provide a functional app to their clients in place of a home owners manual like you would traditionally see. The app design has been completed. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Create a web portal for our builder clients to use to enter home information Create marketing collateral to onboard builder clients. IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RÔLES/RESPONSABILITÉS:* Designer - to design the flow of the web portal for builders to enter the information necessary to populate the database in the app. IE create the wire frame web architecture for how a client is to go from logging into site, entering home information, and then sending out to clients. No coding needed. Designer - to design the overall look of the product website. Think of creating website templates for this product. - no coding needed. Marketing and communication - Create an effective sales pitch and then to create the content necessary to support that pitch. Branding Specialist - to create a brand comprehensive. Sales strategist - Review and strategize how to pitch to large production builders. Review events and advertising avenues available.
