Détails

The goal of this project is to assist with the start of a new software consumer product. This will be an exciting project for students to be involved in areas such as one or more of the following:

  • Developing a business plan, including competitor research, SWOT analysis, etc.
  • Creating financial forecasts
  • Software developing on a React/Next.js-based platform, including interacting with 3rd party services using REST interfaces
Livrables

Depending on the students specialty of either business plan development or software development, they will:

Business:

  • Research competitors
  • Perform a SWOT analysis
  • Development a business plan
  • Create a financial forecast, including research-backed approximations of costs
  • Deliverables: Business Plan & Financial Forecast


Software Development:

  • Review the current application, and focus on building/modifying the front end from existing technologies or designs
  • Interact with third party APIs as required
  • Use Git and GitHub for version control
  • Perform basic testing to ensure that the major functionality works as expected
  • Deliverables: Codebase changes
