As a small health and beauty brand, we have found it very difficult to find clean, sustainable packaging options for our products that are available for purchase at prices and minimums accessible for small brands. We are interested in producing our own line of skin care packaging for our own brand and also selling to other small brands.


Tasks may involve:

  • Researching current market landscape.
  • Analyzing current product offerings and determining needs and whitespace.
  • Researching current manufacturers or resellers of sustainable packaging.
  • Analyzing the competitive landscape.
  • Analyzing potential B2B customers.
  • Analyzing trends within primary data collected and reporting on them.
  • Determining costs and potential selling prices.
  • Creating financial projections.
Livrables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Researched sustainable packaging options for beauty and cosmetics available today.
  • Analyzed sustainable pros and cons and carbon footprint for various packaging types.
  • Researched current manufacturers or resellers of sustainable packaging.
  • Analyzed the competitive landscape for reselling cosmetic packaging, particularly sustainable packaging.
  • Determine gaps in the market/white space.
  • Analyzed potential small beauty buyers and potential market size.
  • Analyzed trends within primary data collected and reporting on them.
  • Determined costs and potential selling prices.
  • Created financial projections.
  • Presented all findings to (whoever is running the project).
Mentorat

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • The customer segments our brand primarily caters to.
  • Information about our products/services.
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

Jennifer was impassioned to create her own line of natural skincare and clothing products to treat sensitive skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and more that align with her own holistic and environmental values.

She created YoRo Naturals to help others discover their own unique and natural skin healing journey. The skin is our body’s largest organ. YoRo Naturals encourages treating your skin with love by nourishing it with natural products to help it not only heal, but to thrive.
