The main goal for this project is to have students work alongside one another to assist in software development for a healthcare project where we'll be enabling students to get easier connected to therapists and mental health professionals. The main goals for this project will be to assist in development of our backend. This process will involve the student reading through our technical documentation and working closely with the team to assist in deployment of key backend features. This will primarily include building REST APIs, databases and performance management for our healthcare software.

At the end of the project, students will have the chance to participate in the first launch of the product and watch their specially created features get deployed.

Learners, based on prior experience and interest, will be assisting us in development of specific backend features. This may include developing REST APIs, user management, internal tools, cloud deployment or databases. Learners will be given complete ownership of what they build during this project. All learners will be involved in development of key features and will be expected to push their developments to github consistently. Learners will create backend features, write tests and development documentation for their project.

Learners will receive technical mentorship from the lead engineers as well as project managers who will assist in guiding through the entire software development process. Learners will also be able to work with team members in collaborative settings and peer programming sessions to assist in development of the project.
