wireframing usability testing mock ups auditingThe BoardSpace app has paying customers and is well-developed. We would like to conduct user testing on our current web application. We believe that insights from these experiments will help us design a better product, provide insights into how to help our customers and offer a better experience.
The specific project would review the poll feature.
We would like a group of students to conduct user testing scenarios on our product with a small group of current and potential customers and then report the results to us. The user group includes condo and non-profit boards of directors. Specifically, administrators could be nonprofit Executive Directors, Chief Executive Officers, Executive Assistants, Condo Directors or Association managers.
Deliverables
- A final report detailing methodology, test subjects, tests, and outcomes/insights.
- A presentation of the final report
- Project Plan- Identify milestones and set a timeline for the project.
- Review requirements and existing designs- Familiarize themselves with the existing product to understand the requirements, design work, and feedback already existing, and identify gaps to be filled in the next stage.
- Design Audit- work with BoardSpace to identify a set of priority flows and/or features and audit the current user flow to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Usability testing- summary of key findings and recommendations, or documentation of user testing sessions to understand users’ experience of and interaction with your product.
- Redesign and/or redesign recommendations- design improved flows for the distinct user types. Workshop ideas and turn those into wireframes or mock-ups that show exactly how the solution could work. Further test and iterate as time allows.
- Finalize- Hand off all deliverables and findings in a package, allowing your work to be easily understood and incorporated into future projects.
- Preparation of any relevant resources and assets in advance of the kickoff call
- Be available for a regular weekly check-in call
- Be responsive throughout the collaboration to ensure progress is not blocked.
- Allow the learners to share the work they do for us in job search materials.
