Project Overview:

This project invites students to design a professional and compelling strategy to package and promote The Freedom Roadmap—a divorce support program—for inclusion in Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). The goal is to position the Freedom Roadmap as a vital mental health and productivity resource that companies can offer to employees going through separation or divorce.

Background Research Insight:

Divorce is one of the most stressful life events and can significantly impact employee well-being and performance. Studies show that employees navigating divorce experience reduced productivity, increased absenteeism, and emotional distress for an average of three years. According to research by the Grief Recovery Institute, the cost of divorce and other emotional stressors to U.S. businesses exceeds $75 billion annually. These stressors directly affect workplace engagement, decision-making, and team morale.

By offering The Freedom Roadmap through their EAPs, companies can proactively support their staff, reduce stress-related losses, and foster a culture of compassion and resilience.

Livrables

The deliverables for this project include a comprehensive marketing plan and a set of promotional materials tailored for EAP integration. The marketing plan should outline strategies for positioning the Freedom Roadmap within EAPs, targeting HR professionals and employees. Promotional materials may include brochures, digital content, and presentation slides that clearly convey the benefits of the Freedom Roadmap. The team will also provide a report summarizing their research findings and strategic recommendations.

The cost of divorce and family breakdown are well documented. The Divorce Act was recently changed to reflect the insurmountable costs to social services, families & communities. T.C.D.aims to meet a pressing need and foster better social, emotional, and economic outcomes for our kids, parents and communities. Traditional divorce is like raging against the storm - time, energy and money - misdirected against an inevitable negative outcome that is impacts everyone. Parental alienation is rising along with mental illness and studies indicate that teenage suicide is directly linked to family breakdown. The divorce process is inherently destabilizing - people feel overwhelmed, hopeless, and "divorce crazy." a term often used in amongst Family lawyers . Rates of domestic violence rise over 80% during relationship breakdown. T.C.D. is an integrated system that focuses on prevention in a simple way empowering and supporting families during these critical times.
