Détails

The Safe & Healthy Communities section at the City of Edmonton seeks to develop a compelling investment case to highlight the social and economic benefits of enhanced violence prevention initiatives. The project aims to quantify the potential returns on investment by analyzing existing data and case studies related to violence prevention. Learners will apply their knowledge of social sciences, economics, and public policy to assess the impact of violence prevention programs on community well-being and economic stability. The project will involve identifying key metrics, evaluating current investment levels, and projecting the outcomes of increased funding. By doing so, the project will provide evidence-based recommendations to support policy decisions and funding allocations for violence prevention strategies.

Livrables

The project will culminate in a comprehensive report that outlines the investment case for violence prevention, including a detailed analysis of social and economic returns. Deliverables will include a presentation summarizing key findings, a set of data visualizations illustrating the impact of violence prevention, and a policy brief with actionable recommendations for stakeholders. These deliverables will be designed to effectively communicate the value of investing in violence prevention to policymakers and community leaders.
