The Community Engagement Intern will be instrumental in strengthening and expanding Resilient Hearts’ connection with community partners, participants, and stakeholders. This role will focus on developing community partnerships, facilitating communications, and supporting engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with a passion for community involvement, social inclusion, and building lasting relationships that drive impact. This is unpaid opportunity.

Livrables

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Outreach and Partnership Development: Identify and initiate outreach to potential community partners, organizations, and local businesses to create mutually beneficial collaborations that support our mission.
  • Event Coordination Support: Assist in planning and coordinating community events, workshops, and activities, helping to ensure they run smoothly and align with Resilient Hearts' mission.
  • Volunteer Engagement: Support the recruitment, onboarding, and management of volunteers, enhancing our community impact through active involvement.
  • Participant and Family Communication: Facilitate open and ongoing communication with program participants and their families, addressing questions and gathering feedback.
  • Social Media and Public Relations Support: Assist in creating content that highlights community engagement initiatives and share stories of impact through social media platforms.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and analyze community feedback and engagement metrics, providing insights to improve our outreach strategies.


Qualifications

Academic Program: Social Work, Community Development, Communications, or a related field

Target Education Level: Bachelor’s degree (4th year students preferred)

Competencies, Skills, and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of community engagement practices, including outreach, partnership building, and event coordination
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online community engagement strategies
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with excellent time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
