Students build on concepts learned in Introduction to Health Informatics to evaluate a health solution that improves and supports the patient care process. Students also will incorporate the Achieve Results domain of the LEADS framework.

In groups of 4, over a 4-week period, these first-year student-consultants will explore a digital health solution that your organization is using to evaluate its impact on improving patient outcomes . Outcomes may include utilization, safety of care and health care costs. For example:
- reduction in wait-times
- reduction in readmission rates
- reduction in infection rate
- improvement in patient experience
